Support Groups

Your role is unique and often difficult.  But you don't have to do it alone.  Our Foster the Family Support Groups are here with you.

Our meetings incude a short topical training and guided discussion for foster, foster/adoptive, and kinship parents. Choose a group to join:

For Moms:

Second Monday night every month from 6-8pm at Grace (3312 Calvin Dr., Lawrence, KS, 66049)

Third Monday night every month from 6-8pm at FSBC Topeka (1912 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66604)

For Dads:

First Tuesday night every month from 7:30-9:30p at the Foster Village office (725 N. 2nd St., Lawrence, KS 66044)

Open to all foster parents, foster/adoptive parents, and those in the process of licensing. 

Childcare is provided for both moms' groups by Foster Village for children birth-12 years old. Although registration for your children is not required, we really appreciate it as we strive for a solid ratio of caregivers to children.  But if you forget, don't make that your reason to stay home!  We'll always welcome your kids and work hard to make them feel safe and loved.
